ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1970 pilot wing for JAL (Japan Air Lines). JAL was founded in 1951 by the Japanese government to help revitalize its nation following World War II. The wing is in wool felt with gold bullion embroidery.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970.

SIZE: Approximately 15/16" in height and 3-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in bullion thread, gilt brass, treated paper backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an airlines collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJM12 LABJX8/13 SAJJX7/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The wing has some small areas of moderate wear to the reverse only.
