ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1952 Station Radar de Campagne 25-953 Hassi Messaoud (Field Radar Station 25-953, Hassi Messaoud, Algeria) badge. The badge is by Augis, and has a gorgeously enameled scorpion clutching a plane, all superimposed upon a "croix du Sud" (southern cross).

VINTAGE: Circa 1952.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-1/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver-plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS: AUGIS LYON.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows light wear and small areas of medium tarnish with all enamel intact.
