This is a circa 1950 pilot wing by Stokes for Ansett Airways, an Australian airline that later merged with Australian National Airways. The wing is enameled in a rich red. It has a crown on top and shows a map of the territories of Australia at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 3" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops with pins.
MARKINGS:STOKES MELB. (Melbourne, Australia).

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The wing shows only very light wear with one small spot of oxidation on one wing tip.
