ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1943 United States Marine Corps blade marked utility/fighting knife by Camillus Cutlery Company. Camillus of New York, one of the oldest manufacturers of knives in the United States, operated from 1876 until folding in 2007, and was relaunched in 2009. The knife has a wooden grip and comes with an early leather sheath with both stitching and stapling.

VINTAGE: Circa 1943.

SIZE: Knife: approximately 12" in length and 2-1/2" in width 9at guard); blade only; approximately 7" in length and 1/4" in width; sheath only: approximately 12-3/4" in length and 2-1/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Steel, wood, leather.

ATTACHMENT: Snap, hole on sheath.

MARKINGS: CAMILLUS, N.Y; U.S.M.C.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The knife and sheath both show only some small areas of light wear.
