ARTIFACT:

This is Circa 1940 US Indian Service Deputy Special Officer Badge of Alex Bobidosh Chippewa.

Alexander Mathew Bobidosh, 1890 - 1981, Was an NFL-Player in 1942,

An eventual Tribal Leader of the Lac Du Flambeau Chippewa Tribe and a USIS (United States Indian Service) Deputy Special Officer.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1942.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-15/16" in height x 1-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated, nickel-plated brass, painted areas.

ATTACHMENT:

One-plate pin with drop-in locking catch.
