Description
This is a great circa 1910s or 1920s Fire Warden badge from Madison, New Jersey, a borough in the southeastern part of the state. The badge is numbered 1 at the bottom and has a large Seal of the State of New Jersey at its center. It was made by Whitehead & Hoag of Newark, New Jersey.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s-1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/16" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with tongue-style catch.
MARKINGS:1 on front; The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J. on reverse.
