ARTIFACT: This is a nice circa 1900 Moorestown, New Jersey Hose Co. No. 1 parade ribbon made by Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey. There is a celluloid medallion hanging from an American flag ribbon, and the back of the ribbon has a nice Whitehead & Hoag union label.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/4" in height and 1-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk, celluloid, gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK, N.J. on celluloid badge; on reverse.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEX12 LFJX7/13 SFJX1/15

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The ribbon has some light wear with a small ding to the celluloid and some fraying at the bottom.
