Ca 1600 Large Japanese Katana Tsuba of the Ikeda Clan Mon Form

This is a Early 17th Century Japanese Katana Tsuba in the Pierced Circular Iron Form of the Ikeda Clan Mon. A Butterfly obverse has gold "eye" on Butterfly Head sits at bottom slightly Beyond 6:00.

Circa 1600.

Approximately 3-3/16" diameter

Iron with small gold overlay.

Central opening for affixment to Katana.
