This is a Early 17th Century Japanese Katana Tsuba in the Pierced Circular Iron Form of the Ikeda Clan Mon. A Butterfly obverse has gold "eye" on Butterfly Head sits at bottom slightly Beyond 6:00.
VINTAGE:Circa 1600.
SIZE:Approximately 3-3/16" diameter
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Iron with small gold overlay.
ATTACHMENT:Central opening for affixment to Katana.
