This is a post-1943 Italian Army General of the Line cap badge in bullion. The badge has had its crown removed to demonstrate the wearer's loyalty to Mussolini. The large badge is an eagle with golden sequined wings perched upon a fasces.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II (post-1943).
SIZE:Approximately 2-5/8" in height and 3-5/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in bullion thread and cotton/silk thread, sequins.
