Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an unidentified World War II era chenille jacket patch in vivid rainbow colors. The patch is most likely for some unidentified United States Army Air Forces fighter squadron, and shows red, gold and white bolts of lightning against a blue sky and mountain range.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 6-1/8" in height and 4-5/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Felt embroidered in chenille threads.
