Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a pair of unidentified oval brass badges. Each badge shows a cameo in relief, one of a gladiatrix wearing a cobra helmet and the other of a Roman soldier with a winged dragon atop his helmet.

VINTAGE:

Circa unknown.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Two "tack" posts on each badge.

This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. LX3/11

CONDITION:

7- (Very Fine-): The badges have a handsome tarnish and areas of moderate wear with oxidation on their reverse only.
