ARTIFACT: This wonderful old Western fire badge could be a generic badge for a Mission, or from one of the towns named Mission in the Southwest: Arizona, California (San Diego neighborhood), or Texas. It has double belt loops on back for wear, a typical type of construction from when badges were made to be issued to indigenous peoples in the US. The badge is made of nickeled brass, and shows a beautiful fancy horse-drawn steam engine at center. The badge is numbered 12.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 1-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickeled brass.

ATTACHMENT: Two rectangular belt loops.

MARKINGS: 12 on front.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an old Southwestern fire and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until positively identified. VAJJX13 LX11/13

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge has some small areas of light to medium wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
