Description
This is an unidentified pair of large shoulder boards by N.S. Meyer. They are believed to be circa 1900 and may be for United States forces. Each has a pair of thin taupe chevrons.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900(?).
SIZE:Approximately 6-1/2" in height and 2-1/2" in width (each).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool, embroidered tape, silk backing.
ATTACHMENT:Button hole and two straps (on each).
MARKINGS:N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK with mark.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The boards are in wonderful condition with some fading of the maker's information and some pin holes and loose thread on the reverse only.
