BEING RESEARCHED Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense Pin Order of the Garter Related? NOT FOR SALE UNTIL IDed

This is an unidentified pin reading HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE (shame upon him who thinks evil upon it), and may attributed to the Order of the Garter, or some school emulating the Order. This motto is also associated with several groups, including the British Royal Engineers and the Coldstream Guards. At the center of the pin is a red St. George's Cross and an open book with two crossed swords in the background. The border of the pin, upon which the motto is enameled, represents the garter itself.

Circa unknown.

Approximately 13/16" in diameter.

Gold-plated brass with enamel.

Vertical T-style pin with "C" catch.
