BEING RESEARCHED - Green, White & Red "USIV" Lapel Wing - NOT FOR SALE UNTIL IDed

This is an unidentified lapel wing that reads USIV against a green, white and red enameled flag. The pin is aviation-related, and possibly has something to do with American Italian aviators due to the colors on the wing being the colors of the Italian flag.

Circa unknown.

Approximately 1/4" in height and 9/16" in width.

Plated brass with enamel.

Single screw post with disc backing.

THE VICTORY PATENTED on inside of backing.
