This is an unidentified gold-filled aviation lapel wing, possibly for a flight engineer or a civilian aircraft mechanic.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s-1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1/2" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-filled.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in locking catch.
MARKINGS:GOLD FILLED.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. LHE?X7/11
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin shows some small areas of light wear and tarnish, mostly on the reverse.
