This is a very interesting and considerably early unidentified pin in hand-engraved silver. The pin's overall shape is a wreathed Knight's cross, and it reads AUVSC. Because the pin shows a beehive (the symbol of Utah) at its center, the engraved "U" most likely stands for Utah.
VINTAGE:Circa unknown.
SIZE:Approximately 13/16" height and 3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver with brass pin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal T-style pin with C catch.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. MCFX08 LX2/11
CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The pin shows some light wear and a moderate tarnish.
GUARANTEE:As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
