Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a very interesting and considerably early unidentified pin in hand-engraved silver. The pin's overall shape is a wreathed Knight's cross, and it reads AUVSC. Because the pin shows a beehive (the symbol of Utah) at its center, the engraved "U" most likely stands for Utah.

VINTAGE:

Circa unknown.

SIZE:

Approximately 13/16" height and 3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver with brass pin.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal T-style pin with C catch.
