ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful unknown gold-plated eagle badge. We also have another one in the same size in sterling silver, and a smaller one in sterling as well (please see photos above). The smaller of the badges looks as if parts of it were painted red at one time.

VINTAGE: Circa unknown.

SIZE: About 2-7/16" in width by 1-1/4" in height (same for larger sterling badge); about 1-5/8" in width by 7/8" in height for smaller sterling badge.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated (one badge); sterling (two badges).

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with a "come-under" locking catch (all three badges).

MARKINGS: X mark (gold-plated badge); BAB STERLING (large sterling badge); B inside a star and STERLING (small sterling badge).

ITEM NOTES: This is from an unidentified collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Items will not be sold until identified. VEJX5/03, MDEX98, VHX05

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badges have differing degrees of light wear and tarnish.
