Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an unidentified lapel wing in sterling silver that reads FPA at the wing's center. FPA could possibly stand for the Federal Pilots' Association. The pin comes on its original card and was made by Metal Arts Company of Rochester, New York.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Wing: approximately 1/4" in height and 1-1/4" in width; card: approximately 1-5/8" by 1-3/8".

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver, enamel, printed oaktag.

ATTACHMENT:

Screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS:

MACO STER on reverse of pin; THE METAL ARTS CO. INC. ROCHESTER, N.Y. STERLING on card.

ITEM NOTES:
