This is an unidentified French postal uniform button of unknown vintage. It reads DIRECTION G'ale (Generale) DES POSTES (Directorate General of Posts) and has a fleur-de-lis at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa unknown.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Button loop.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. LX7/12
CONDITION:6 (Fine+): The button shows some areas of light to medium wear and tarnish and is missing some of its outer plating.
