BEING IDed French Post Office Mail Badge/Administration des Postes Courrier NOT FOR SALE UNTIL IDed

This is an unidentified French postal badge of unknown vintage. The badge is by Monsieur Ameling, and engraver who lived in Paris along the Passage of the Salmon. It reads ADMINISTRATION DES POSTES COURRIER (Post Office Mail) and has a nice coppery patina. Ceci est un insigne inconnu postal français du millésime inconnu. Le badge est par Monsieur Ameling, et graveur qui vivait à Paris le long du Passage du Saumon. Il lit ADMINISTRATION DES POSTES COURRIER et a une belle patine cuivrée.

Circa unknown. Vintage inconnus.

Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 1-7/8" in width. Environ 7 cm de 4.8 cm.

Plated brass. Laiton plaqué.
