Description
This is an unidentified Romanian O.N.E.F. badge with wording that translates to "Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body" (Minte Sanatoasa in Corp Sanatos). This badge has something to do with the Stadionul Oficiul National de Educatie Fizica (Stadium ONEF), a stadium built in 1926 in Bucharest, Romania. It is unknown whether this badge signified membership, a donation, or something else. A man with his right arm raised is in relief on the front of the badge. The badge is Swiss-made by Huegenin Locle.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s-1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin with saddle.
MARKINGS:Huegenin Locle Suisse on front and on reverse.
