Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a beautifully detailed and heavy late 1930s Polish Air Force Air pilot badge in silver-plated tombak. Surprisingly, the badge is not maker marked. The badge is a great eagle flying with a wreath painted green for combat in his beak.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 2-1/2" in width; chain drop: 2".

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver-plated tombak, painted details, brass screwback.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with backing, chain with hook hanger.

MARKINGS:

None.
