This is a beautiful World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army Air Forces 4th Air Force. The DI is by LeVelle & Company of Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., and is in enameled sterling silver.

Circa World War II.

Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 15/16" in width.

Gilt sterling with enamel.

Two posts with clutch-back catches.
