ARTIFACT: Beautifully stitched, WWII United States Naval Air Gunners School Purcell, Oklahoma jacket patch. The patch depicts a white five-point star with golden wings laid atop the center with an aerial machine gun just below. Surrounding the outside it reads: "U. S. NAVAL AIR GUNNERS SCHOOL - PURCELL, OKLAHOMA".

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 4 - ¾" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered on wool felt, cotton/silk/polyester threads, cotton backing

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn on.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VGEX15 LDGEX9/15

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch shows minor age/storage wear, soiling and moth nips, the stitching is beautiful and the colors remain bright, overall excellent condition.
