Description
This is a beautiful World War II "Carlson's Raiders" United States Marine Corps type combat knife by Collins & Company. "Carlson's Raiders" was the familiar name of the 2nd Raider Battalion, a group that landed on the Pacific island of Butaritari (former home of Louis Robert Stevenson) in August 194The knife appears to have been used in combat.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 14-1/4" in length and 4-3/8" in width (at widest part of handle).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Steel, nickel-plated steel, resin handle, leather sheath.
