This is a beautiful World War I German camouflage helmet in steel, or "stahlhelm". The helmet is a Model 1916 and is painted in 1918 camouflage. There is a maker mark for F.C. Bellinger of Fulda near the secured end of the chinstrap, as well as the shell measurement (62).
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Shell measurement = 62 .
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted steel, leather, muslin.
ATTACHMENT:Cloth ties.
MARKINGS:BF 62, the mark of F. C. Bellinger, and shell size.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The helmet has some light to moderate abrasions and the liner is delicate.
