Description
WWI Imperial German M1916 Stahlhelm. As found in a barn in Northern NH. The Stahlhelm replaced the Pickelhaube during WWI in 191The term Stahlhelm refers both to a generic steel helmet, and more specifically to the distinctive (and iconic) German design, a distinctive "coal scuttle" shape.
VINTAGE:Circa WWI 1916.
SIZE:Approximately 26" inside circumference; 9-1/2"ear to ear; 12-1/2" back to front; 7" tall.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted steel, leather.
ATTACHMENT:To be worn on head.
MARKINGS:E.T. 64' stamped inside helmet brim, illegible handwriting on rear inside brim.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine - Very Fine): Helmet shows moderate surface wear, leather headband separated and stiffening.
