ARTIFACT:

This is a nice early 1930s United States Marine Corps officer dress cap badge with a "salty" look. The badge is an eagle, globe and anchor with nice hand-engraved detailing on the globe. It is in gilt and silver-plated brass by Meyer.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-11/16" height and 1-3/4" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt and silver-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing and one stabilization post.

MARKINGS:

N.S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK in two places and Meyer maker's mark.

CONDITION:

7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows some moderate wear in small areas but still ahs a nice lustre.
