ARTIFACT:

This is a rare and beautiful World War II United States Navy Seabees "Can Do" badge type by Levelle. "Seabees" was the nickname given to members of the Navy's Construction Battalions. The badge is in enameled gilt sterling silver.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with round bases and come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

LEVELLE & CO. WASHINGTON D.C. PHILA., PA. STERLING.
