ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful numbered and hallmarked "Ike" style Deputy US Marshal badge from the late 1960s. The badge has a control number of 1656 on its reverse and a warning that proper credentials need to accompany the badge for any authority to be exercised by the wearer.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1960s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/28" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-filled with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: 1656 THIS BADGE CONVEYS NO AUTHORITY UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY PROPER CREDENTIALS AI (for Award Incentives) mark and 1/10-10K G.F.
