Beautiful Numbered 1930s-1940s Boston, Massachusetts Metropolitan Police Lieutenant Badge

This is a beautiful circa 1930s or 1940s lieutenant badge for the Boston (Massachusetts) Metropolitan Police. The badge has the Seal of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at its center, surrounded by radiating rays. The badge is numbered 15 on reverse.

Circa 1930s or 1940s.

Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 2" in width.

Gilt brass, enamel.

Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch: pin hinge looks to have had an early (period) repair.
