Description
This is a beautiful antique porcelain box LID ONLY with decorative enameling, which is either Chinese or Japanese in origin. It dates to the mid-nineteenth century. The colors are bright but soft, with gilt details. The lower half of the lid top shows a scene with some sort of meeting taking place. The rest of the lid is embellished with flowers, greenery, birds and a butterfly.
VINTAGE:Circa mid-19th century.
SIZE:Approximately 7" in length and 3-7/8" in width and 7/8" in height.
