ARTIFACT: This is a Beautiful Mid 1930's 1st Model Luftwaffe Miniature Dagger by Horster.

It has all the details of a full size Luftwaffe/DLV dagger, but measures 9-1/2 inches long. The blade shows some spot of rust, and the large E. & F. Horster double-oval trademark is on.

VINTAGE: Mid 1930s.

SIZE: Approximately: Overall Length 9 1/2 Inches.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Steel, silver plated nickel/tombak, leather, bakelite.

ATTACHMENT: Chain hanger with hook.

MARKINGS: "E. & F. Horster double-oval trademark SOLINGEN"

ITEM NOTES:  This is from a collection of German militaria items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON-JST-25-20 LGGEX02/21/21 SFEJX09/21

CONDITION: 7+ (Fine - Very Fine): The dagger shows moderate wear especialy on the sccbbard front leather. The suspension chain on the scabbard is intact. The blade shows some spot of rust, still shines brightly, and there is a some minor edge damage at the very tip. The blade riccaso is neartly etched with the logo of the firm of SMF, in Solingen. The handle is high quality, with typical early nickel silever metal fittings. The pommel and crossguard shows nice patina. Overall very fine condition.
