ARTIFACT:
WWII Nazi Luftwaffe 2nd Model Dress Dagger with orange handle by Lüneschloss. The pommel shows nicely detailed oak leaves with a swastika in the center. The crossguard features an eagle flying to the viewer's left clutching a mobile swastika. The guard arms are engraved oak leaves and acorns. The engraving is very nicely done with pebbling added to the surfaces of the leaves. The grip is an orange Bakelite or plastic example and is tightly wrapped with twisted wire. The throat is retained by two headless side screws. The blade is a very fine example, with a maker mark visible at the top of the blade under eagle. The sheath is nicely detailed with oak leaves at the tip and two loops.
