ARTIFACT:
This is a beautiful Japanese-made Korean War coffee mug from the United States Air Force 95th Bomb Squadron, 17th Bomb Group. The mug has an overall crackled appearance with three detailed painted vignettes. One is an aircraft, one is the coat of arms of the 17th bearing the words TOUJORS AU DANGER (ever into danger) and one is the kicking donkey of the 95th.
VINTAGE:
Circa Korean War.
SIZE:
Approximately 3-15/16" in height and 4-1/2" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Ceramic.
