ARTIFACT: Beautiful Japanese-made, Korean War United States 8th Cavalry Regiment Distinctive Insignia. The brass and enameled insignia depicts a white enamel rearing horse with 8 enameled stars beneath signifying the regiment number, an enameled banner at the base of the insignia reads: "HONOR – AND – COURAGE" and reverse still has the paper 'JAPAN' label.

VINTAGE: Circa Korean War

SIZE: Approximately 1 3/8" x 1 ¼"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled brass

ATTACHMENT: Double posts with clutch backs.

MARKINGS: "JAPAN" red and white paper label

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Korean War distinctive insignia collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCX13 LFEX4/15

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Insignia shows minor wear, nearly all the enameled details remain fully intact.
