ARTIFACT:

Beautiful early WWII United States Army Air Forces 13th Air Corps Ferrying Squadron, Air Transport Command jacket patch made in the United States. 

The patch depicts cartoon Baby Mercury shooting an aircraft across the Atlantic using a bow. 
He is wearing a green combat helmet with wings and sits with his tally sheet in white and blue detail.

VINTAGE:

Circa early WWII.

SIZE:

Approximately 5-1/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Embroidered wool, cotton/silk/polyester thread, gauze backing.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.
