ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1944 formation sign (patch) for the British 14th Army, which was under the Southeast Asia Command, and by the end of World War II was the largest Commonwealth army. The patch is in terracotta wool and has a small, embroidered sword and the Roman numeral XV at its center. This patch came to us with a few other British 14th Army patches with various designs: these are sold separately (please click on links at bottom of page for more information).

VINTAGE: Circa 1944 (World War II).

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/16" in width and 2-11/16" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool embroidered in cotton/silk thread, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The patch shows only light wear.
