ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1944 formation sign (patch) for the British 14th Army, which was under the South East Asia Command, and by the end of World War II was the largest Commonwealth army. The patch was hand-made in dark orange wool and has a golden bullion sword and the Roman numeral XV at its center. This patch came to us with a few other British 14th Army patches with various designs: these are sold separately (please click on links at bottom of page for more information).

VINTAGE: Circa 1944 (World War II).

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" in width and 2-9/16" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool felt embroidered in bullion and cotton/silk thread, woven wool backing.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Great Britain and Commonwealth militaria collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCJX13 LAFEX1/13 SAFEX3/17

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The patch shows some small areas of light wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
