Beautiful Circa 1942 War Training Service (WTS) Pilot Instructor Wing Made from USAAF Wing

This is a War Training Service (WTS) pilot instructor wing made from a sterling silver United States Army Air Forces pilot wing. The WTS evolved out of the Civilian Pilot Training Program, which was necessarily upgraded after the Pearl Harbor attacks.

Circa 1942.

Approximately 7/8" height and 3-1/16" width.

Sterling silver.

Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
