ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1900 justice of the peace badge from Scarsdale, New York. The badge has been hand engraved in gilt brass and filled with blue enamel. It is a very substantial piece.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with sleeved catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a New York police/law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX12 LAFEX6/12 TRAEJX3/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows some light wear and tarnish; only trace bits of enamel are missing; very small spots of oxidation on reverse.
