ARTIFACT: This is a Beautiful circa 1900 - World War I Papal Order of Pius IX Commander Neck Badge in Gilt & Enameled Silver.

Front center reads:VIRTUTI ET MERITO: VIRTUE AND MERIT
                              PIUS IX

VINTAGE: Circa 1900 - World War I.

SIZE: Approximately: 2-3/8" in height x 2-1/2" in width. (Edge to Edge of the Blue enamel). Loop: 1-1/4" in height x 3/16" in width. Ribbon: 18" in length x 1-7/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt & Enameled Silver.

ATTACHMENT: Loop, Ribbon.

MARKINGS: N/A.

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The Neck Badge shows minor wear on the front and tarnishing on the back, overall, it is in excellent condition.
