ARTIFACT:
Beautiful WWI Era Turkish Order of Osmania (Osmanieh) 3rd Class Commander's neck badge in enameled and gilt silver with a short piece of original ribbon. The badge features a gorgeous green enameled seven point star with a crimson enameled disc in the center featuring a calligraphic message that reads "Relying on the Assistance of Almighty God, Abdulaziz Khan, and Sovereign of the Ottoman Empire". The medal is suspended by a ribbon loop, which features a five pointed star and crescent. The badge, which is obsolete was awarded to military and civilians who showed exceptional service to the state.
