Beautiful Ca. 1900 Boston, MA Special Police Badge #256 - Lowest Number We Have Had to Offer

Beautiful circa 1900 Boston, Massachusetts Special Police Badge. The round badge is nicely detailed showing a large State Seal of Massachusetts in the center with embossed lettering around it that reads: "SPECIAL POLICE CITY OF BOSTON" and the base of the badge is numbered: "256" in black painted detail. The badge is by S.M. Spencer Manufacturing of Boston and the reverse reads: "Property of the City of Boston Police Department" on the rectangular saddle. This is lowest number we have had to offer!

Circa 1900.

Approximately 2-1/2"; x 2-1/4".

Nickeled brass.

Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.

"S.M. SPENCER MFG. BOSTON" and "PROPERTY OF CITY OF BOSTON POLICE DEPT." on saddle
