ARTIFACT:

Beautiful circa 1900 Andover, Massachusetts Police radiator badge by S.M. Spencer Manufacturing in Boston. The center of the badge reads: "POLICE" with "ANDOVER" above in black painted lettering. The outer edge features wreath and floral embellishment and the reverse shows an applied: "S.M. SPENCER MFG. CO. BOSTON" maker mark.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickeled nickel, black paint

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety style pin with "C" type catch
