ARTIFACT: Beautiful 1930's – WWII Bath Iron Works Police Captain badge in near mint condition. B.I.W. is a shipbuilding company that has built many United States Navy vessels. The raised center shows the State Seal of Maine and the shield-shaped badge is topped with an eagle and reads: "CAPTAIN B.I.W. POLICE" and the bottom shows the number "48".

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's – WWII

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/8" x 1-11/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop in locking catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAFZ16 LCBEX12/16

CONDITION: 9 (Excellent—Near Mint): The badge shows minor wear, much of the plating and enameled details remain intact, overall near mint condition.
