ARTIFACT: This is a Beautiful 1930's – WWII Bath Iron Works Police Captain badge in near mint condition. B.I.W. is a shipbuilding company that has built many United States Navy vessels. The raised center shows the State Seal of Maine and the shield-shaped badge is topped with an eagle and reads: "CAPTAIN B.I.W. POLICE" and the bottom shows the number "48".
VINTAGE: Circa 1930's – WWII.
SIZE: Approximately 2-3/8" in height x 1-11/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS: Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop in locking catch.
MARKINGS: None.
