Description
Beautiful 1930's United States Air Corps 6th Bomb Group Distinctive Insignia. This example is a right-facing swashbuckler with a skull and crossbones tattooed on his chest and a banner beneath him that reads: "PARATI DEFEFENDERE" or "Ready to Defend." and shows the US Air Corps symbol, a white star with a red center, against a blue background. The reverse features a screw post and stabilizer pin and reads: "S. MEYER INC. NEW YORK" and shows a nice maker's mark.
