ARTIFACT:
Beautiful 1186 25 Mile Bicycle Road Race medial in coin silver, hand engraved and enameled. The bar reads: "THIRD" and the suspended planchet shows a lovely floral embellishment and in the center it reads: "ROAD RACE 1186". The medal is most likely from Massachusetts, Northern Shore… It came along with the 1885 League of American Wheelmen (L. A. W.) 2nd Place Medal (see link below)
