Description
This is a set of six dating Italian street artist paintings from the 1930s. They show various scenes, including some from Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Four of the paintings are roughly the same size and two are smaller. All four larger paintings and one of the smaller ones are matted and have gilt paint just around the picture; the final one is solely on wood. Two of the scenes are from Naples and look to be variations on a study, showing the same lonely tree in the foreground. The artist's name appears to be Giovanni. Tozi, probably a hungry yet unknown artist. He seemed to work in pastel shades, adding an occasional darkened form or outline for counterbalance.
